Halloween Atc's

Happy Halloween !!!!!!!!

I hope that everyone that celebrates Halloween is having a great time, it's gone 7pm here in the UK and I have still not had any children come knocking on the door, what on earth am I to do with all the goodies/sweets that I bought for tonight ? even my 3 young grandchildren will not be coming to our house as they have gone off to a Halloween party, Oh well, think we had better eat everything ourselves.LOL

Anyway today I went to the local DIY shop and came home with some wallpaper samples, I wanted to give them a try for background papers, I am so pleased with the way 2 of them have turned out, I used them for Halloween atc's, pictures below, after sticking the wallpaper to card I painted them with water colour paints, as they have an embossed pattern on them I only painted the flat areas, when this was dry with the help of a heat gun, I used rubber stamping ink pads over the top of them so that the raised/embossed areas had a contrasting colour, as I wanted to see the background of these atc's I have not used many pictures on them, I just love the the effect of these backgrounds, will be using the wallpaper again !

I also thought that I would show you a few Halloween atc's that my 10 year old grandaughter made last year, you are never to young to start making atc's ! Well done Demi xxxxx

2 Moo's, tone in tone

Have spent some time today making 2 moo's for the Make a moo or two challenge site, these are the first that I have made for this challenge site, the theme is tone in tone so I have used colour's made from tan/browns, the one with the geisha's face has bronze wax dripped on to it and then rubber stamped with a Chinese pattern while the wax is still hot, the butterflies are toiled and raised with decoupage sealant, must say that I really enjoyed making these, can't wait to make the next one's !

Pink Ribbon Twinchie

I hope to become a regular participant on the Small World of Inchies & Twinches challenge site, the challenge for this week is to use a pink ribbon on either an inchie or twinchie as this is breast cancer awareness month, below is a photo of the twinchie that I have made, the background is inked and stamped, the rose is 3d, but this does not really show up in the picture, I used pale pink pinhead crystals on the ribbon,

Gothic Arches

Here are a couple of arches that I have made. one is atc size and the other is about 5 1/2" tall, loved making these arches, I hope to join the Gothic Arches challenge site, I think this will be great fun, I live in hope that it will make me spend more time doing rather than thinking about doing, I seem to spend hours planning, getting things ready but not getting very far with the construction,
This might just be the push that I need, I hope so ! !

More Twinches

I have also made another 4 twinches, have got loads more squares cut out but have not had chance to make anymore yet, here are the latest ones, I hope that you like them.

Holiday and Atc's

It's been a few weeks since I have posted on my blog as I have been on holiday, hubby and I had a great time on our boat cruising along the rivers that make up the Norfolk Broads, it is so very peaceful there at this time of the year, not many hire boats out and about as its the end of the peek season, just the two of us with our dog, Stumpy, completely relaxed, no hurry to get anywhere, so peaceful you could hear the birds singing, plus beautiful scenery, we covered 140 miles of river ways, mooring overnight anywhere we wanted, What more could you ask for, it's a great life ! ! ! Because of hubbies shift patterns we are lucky enough to go there every 12 days, spending 9 days on the boat, this time was longer as he had some days owing to him from work, our boat is called " Tinkerbelle " named after our daughter, her name is Anita but hubby has always called her Tinkerbelle, Here's a picture,

I took along my paper craft bits and bobs as I needed to make 2 lots of atc's for a swap in the atc world group, it certainly kept me busy, I had to do 7 father Christmas plus 25 Christmas atc's for an advent swap, did these ones as carol singers, luckily these could all be the same/similar as there are plenty of players for this last swap, think the number is reaching the 40 mark, will be great for the hostess if it reaches 50, the idea is that we all get 25 sealed cards back before Christmas, and open one each day, just as you do with an advent calendar. This has been great fun, here's a couple of pictures of them, as you can see I have made the santa atc as a tag shape
I really hope that everyone that receive's these atc's will be pleased with them ?
